If dark matter exists then why do the planets in our solar system revolve at different speeds?
They claim dark matter causes the stars in the galaxies to rotate around the super massive black hole in the center at the same speed no matter the distance, which violates newtons laws of gravity, so if dark matter exists, then why doesn't earth and neptune revolve around the sun at the same speed? Looking for a good answer, thanks.
When we study the rotation of galactic stars around the galactic centers we find that the curve is fairly but not exactly similar in velocity ratios. While it is true that stars on the outer rims of galaxies are revolving faster than can be explained, this does not infer that the entire galaxy is spinning as one unit (like an LP record) nor that all stars are revolving at the same speed.
Dark matter refers to matter which we have not yet observed or identified. This can be brown dwarfs, rock, dust, gas, neutrinos, axions, or exotica. While this matter is thought to exist in the interstellar space of the outer areas of galaxies, it does not mean that the material also exists in interplanetary space. Conditions between stars are not the same as the conditions between planets. There is no gravitational evidence of dark matter exhibiting effects upon planets. If dark matter existed between the planets of our Solar System, it would have been detected and identified.

Okay, training camps have officially begun, but the 2008 Super Bowl is already a hot topic. This year's Super Bowl is scheduled for Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Planning well in advance for the 2008 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, is definitely a wise choice. Tickets are expensive, but you will save a significant amount of money if you purchase tickets now.
Super Bowl XLII tickets are already for sale and will cost you around $3,250.00, depending who your source for tickets is. Currently as expensive as $9,000.00, those same Super Bowl tickets will be more expensive.
The newly constructed stadium in Glendale, Arizona has been named The University of Phoenix stadium and recently opened its doors on August 1st, 2006 and holds 63,400 seats. It has the capability to expand to 73,000 seats. Considered a premier when it comes to the very best in architectural design, the stadium and the locals can hardly wait to be a part of NFL's big event.
Business Week Magazine noted the stadium as one of the 10 "most impressive" sports facilities in the world because of the combination of the retractable roof along with the roll-in natural grass field. This is the only stadium in North America with such a stadium as this one.
With more than 300 days of sunshine every year in Arizona, The University of Phoenix Stadium is retractable and will likely be open during the 2008 Super Bowl, weather permitting. The upcoming Super Bowl in 2008, will be only the second game in Super Bowl history with a retractable roof.
What kind of weather can you expect for Super Bowl XLII in Arizona? Well, you will be happy to know that the average temperature in Arizona in February is a comfortable 70 degrees. It has been as warm as 92 degrees, so be prepared for possible warmer weather.
If you have not been to Arizona during the winter, keep in mind that 70 degrees in Arizona does not feel like 70 degrees in other parts of the country, such as the Midwest. It is best to dress in layers, especially if the roof is open during game time. Some Arizona Cardinal fans complained last year about the retractable roof being open during the Cardinals regular season games, so be advised that you may wish to take along warmer clothing.
Entertainment for the Super Bowl has not yet been determined, but both Bruce Springsteen and Norah Jones are reported as possibilities.
If you are looking for luxury suites, there are 88 on two separate levels that are available and will seat approximately 1,500 patrons. Club seating for 7,000 fans is also available which includes access to private club lounges.
Both lower and upper bowl seating will be available, accommodating some 55,000 fans.
Here are some tips when planning for NFL's 2008 big event.
There are still plenty of hotel rooms that are available, but there are some hotels that have already sold out of rooms. Without question, it would be wise for you to reserve your hotel room now, to avoid having to drive excess miles to the game.
Some nearby hotels include the Embassy Suites Hotel Phoenix, Hilton Suites, Radisson, Pointe South Mountain, Sheraton, Phoenician, The Buttes, and other famous chains.
Determine your driving route. If you are not familiar with Glendale, Arizona and the location of the stadium, print or write out your driving directions. It is going to be a very busy day with an abundance of people running around. The last thing you need is to get lost in the shuffle!
It would be best if you arrived plenty early for the best parking along with your piece of mind. There will be plenty of activities before the game to keep you entertained.
Write down which parking lot that you parked in. You will be glad you did.
Bring some extra cash just in case you need it. Cash machines will be available, but they will likely charge you a fee for their service.
Wear a pair of pants, versus shorts. You may also wish to consider wearing a pair of those outdoor pants that have zippers just above the knee that can be taken off if you get too warm.
Keep in mind that the stadium is likely to be open on the day of the game and it will likely be an ordinary Arizona sunny day, so take along sunscreen. Use a good sunscreen before you leave for the stadium. Sunburn is no fun, not to mention very dangerous. If the roof is open, you are going to want to make sure that you have protection from the sun. It would also be a good idea to take a hat with you, too.
If you layer your clothing, you can always take them off. Also do not forget to take along your sunglasses, as the glare may bother your eyes.
If you have the time, consider staying a couple of extra days to enjoy the state of Arizona! There are many more things to do in Arizona.
Most importantly, don't forget to bring your tickets to the game!

how do I insert a catflap into a cavity wall or double glazed doors?
There are "longer" (or maybe "thicker") versions on the market to go through the wall that have a little tunnel, so to speak, to provide the necessary reach.
Regarding the door, if it's fully glazed you cannot do it; if however it is partially panelled that is no problem, you can fit it to the panel. Again, there are specifically made versions for this task.

Infection of the Pleura: What is a Drainage Kit?
Infection of the pleura can sometimes lead to an excess of fluid or air build-up in the pleural cavity. A chest tube/drainage kit is used to remove the build up from the body and promote healing. In order to understand how a drainage kit works, it helps to have a mind's-eye picture of the pleura and its purpose and of the pleural cavity in general.
The lungs are covered with a thin membrane known as the pleura. This transparent membrane also lines the insides of the chest walls. The pleura is actually two layers of one sheath which folds over on itself. The layers of the pleura have a very thin space between them. The space is filled with pleural fluid. The pleura protects the lungs and the chest cavity from harmful viruses and bacteria and thus are a barrier to illness.
The problem is that sometimes the pleura itself becomes irritated by bacteria or viruses. When this happens, it can result it pleural effusion, or a condition known as pleurisy. Pleurisy most often results from some type of lung infection, though it can also ensue in cases of lung cancer and other lung problems or as the result of inhaling certain contaminants/pollutants.
Pleurisy causes an abnormal build-up of either air or fluid in the pleural cavity. The pleural cavity refers to the area that is inside the chest cavity (rib cage) and surrounds the lungs. Because the lung's pain sensors are located in the pleura, an inflammation of the membranes can lead to mild to extreme pain, which is usually exacerbated by coughing or sneezing.
When the pleural cavity becomes filled with fluid or air bubbles, the air or liquid must be released in order to keep the lungs from collapsing. A drainage kit (the Pleurx Drainage Kit is one example) is used to help get this excess fluid or air out of the body and protect the lungs.
A drainage kit consists of a long tube (the chest tube, also known as a tube thoracostomy.) The tube is typically made of a type of flexible plastic. The tube is inserted through the skin through a surgical procedure known as thoracotomy. The end of the tube rests inside the pleural cavity. A probe and/or camera is sometimes inserted through the tube during surgery to ensure that the end of the tube has been placed correctly so that drainage will be effective.
The tube is then sutured to the surrounding skin surface to keep the tube from shifting. The entire area is covered with a sterile dressing to protect the incision from infection.
The drainage kit also contains a vacuum bottle. The other end of the chest tube is inserted into the vacuum bottle. This bottle is used to aspirate, vacuum or "suck out" the excess fluid. The contents of the bottle are then disposed of as medical waste.
Drainage kits may come with vacuum bottles in varying sizes. (For example, the Pleurx Drainage Kit bottle has a 1000 ml. capacity.) Drainage kits usually come with items like sterile dressings, gauze and alcohol swabs. Some, like the Pleurx Drainage Kit, include gloves and clamps.
