Air Stone Aerator
Why is my air stone not working?
The air stone in my aquarium isn't working, and the aerator itself is working fine. I checked for kinks in the hose, but it's still not working. It looks like sediment has built up on the stone and is plugging it up. Is there a way to fix it or do I have to get a new stone?
air stones need to be replaced occasionally they get clogged. they aren't very much you can buy a package of 4 for like $2.

Do you need to have your air-stone on constantly in your tank, or can you turn it off at night?
My tank is in my bedroom, and the bubbler makes a heck of loud noise, I have a seperate filter, can I turn the aerator off at night?
The filter should provide plenty of oxygen for your fish. I have almost never used a air-stone in my tanks( both 30 gallons), and the fish have been thriving just on the filters waterfall( and I had the tanks for months).
