Is Bio diesel, Ethanol, and Hydrogen good or bad for the environment in the long run?
Bio diesel, Ethanol, and hydrogen are green, but what are the factors that make them bad for us in the long run and do they have any impact on global warming. do they help or have no impact at all???

Well, these technologies are at best carbon neutral. Hydrogen fuel cells require entirely new vehicles and ethanol requires modification or new vehicles. Manufacturing new vehicles and even modifying existing vehicles require energy which has a carbon footprint. Hydrogen also requires a new fuel distribution network which would have a significant carbon footprint to construct. As these technologies are at best carbon neutral, they will never amortize the environmental impact of their introduction.
Next generation bio-fuels which are synthetic fuels from syngas made by gasification/pyrolysis of biomass which could include trash, old tires and/or dried sewage have already been proven on commercial scales. The gasification/pyrolysis process which is burning in a low oxygen environment also produces charcoal which when used as biochar, sequesters carbon into the soil hence these next generation fuels can be carbon negative. As synthetic fuels, they are tailored to the engines requirements i.e.: iso-octane for synthetic gasoline, so vehicles and distribution networks do not need to be modified nor replaced. Such fuels avoid the environmental impact of replacing existing vehicles and leverages the gas guzzlers of today in removing CO2 from the atmosphere.
