How to install a duct booster fan?

I am installing a booster fan in one of my duct lines. If I connect it to the blower in my furnace, will the fan still turn on when the central AC turns on? How do I connect to the blower in the furnace?

This is a bit tricky. If you mean an in-line blower, then you need to know if it is intended to supplement the furnace blower, in which case you can simply parallel the electrical connection from the existing fan to the new fan. In this case, you will just be adding one more load to the existing ( controlled ) circuit. But if you wish to do something other than the original design of this system, then you need to specify exactly what you have and exactly what you are trying to achieve. If you do not interrupt the existing electrical connection to you furnace blower. you will not affect the performance.

Another in-line fan for for air moving in round ducts by Tenderall Fan Co. is a high pressure small vaneaxial fan finally resolves the problem of boosting air flow in long ventilation ducts of today's large residential houses.For a long time the efficient ventilation of remote rooms in the large houses could be done only with two independent air supply sources (like a furnace). Ventilating ductwork in contemporary large houses becomes so long and elaborated that even a high pressure furnace fan couldn't generate enough static pressure to blow through the whole length of such a duct.
