Cooling Fan Vent
Where should i put these USB Cooling Fans?
i have 2 usb cooling fans i made that woork perfectly the question is should i put them behind my xbox 360 or on the side vent on the right side i hav it horizontally
My advice is don't do it. USB fans pull on the 360's power causing more heat. Use a normal desk fan to reduce heat.

What could be the cause of my laptops cooling fans to stay on all the time?
I have a HP dv-4122nr. I just got it 3 months ago and from the getgo the fans are ALWAYS on. They never stop spinning and it's so loud. I used the speedfan program to pull temps and their somewhere around 100 degrees as core temp. I've flashed the bios to the most updated setting and use it on the low power setting. Vents are clear & clean. What could be some other causes for the continued heating of the laptop to extreme temps
HPs tend to be like that. Mine is the same. It also depends on how long you had it on. Mine starts to come on after 30 mins. But mine is old. Yours shouldn't come on until at least an hour.

It seems like different brands always have different ways to open cases, whereas a generic case is almost always the same, from what I have seen and experienced.
I recently fixed a friend of mine's computer machine, which is a Sony Vio. It took me twice as long to open the case, then it did to actually fix it (I had to replace the CPU cooling fan).
