How to write a great story that is only two pages double spaced?
What should you include? How should you write it? I've read a lot about the "don't tell, but show" rule when it comes to writing stories. But I'm not quite sue I understand that rule. Can anyone elaborate? Also, I'm not very good with writing in the 3rd person, which is what this story has to be written in. Any ideas, or anything else that may help me?
Basically "don't tell, but show" just means be descriptive. In other words, don't say, "he went to the store. He bought a loaf of bread." Be descriptive and elaborate (i.e. "He walked into the store, and for a second he thought he saw a familiar face. He almost impulsively asked the classic 'do I know you from somewhere?', but, in the end, he decided to walk off and forget about it, despite his desire for human interaction."

Right now I put the 7 mo old in the Ergo & the 2 yr old in the “car” cart. When little bit is a little older they’ll sit side-by-side in the cart (the carts at our local store have a double 2 seater) & the “car” carts also fit 2 kids. I love the carts at Target that have a 2 seater side-by-side & a 3rd seat on the basket- I see this in my future…
