Fan Vent System Air conditioner fan blower not working right?
The condenser on the roof seems to work fine. However the unit in the building is giving me problems. The fan works (blower motor)at first but then after a couple of minutes or less it truns off. It does not slow down before it goes off, I hear a click and then it shuts down. The blower motor is very hot to touch..why is that? When it is shut off it still spins smoothly until it stops. 6 of the 11 vents were open. Do all vents need to be open? When Fan is running the system works fine only if it is a minute or two. Thank you for any help
The click you here is the thermo Protector switch opening. This protects the motor from burning up. I would replace the motor with a new one.
