I am thinking of starting to grow live plants in my 55gl freshwater tank. Started doing research, picked the plants that I like, nothing fancy. Then I stumbled upon some products: reactors, systems, controllers etc. I can't figure out if I really need them. If I do, I'll probably gonna give up on the whole live plants idea.
depends can you give us the name of the plants because some plants dont do well w/o CO2 but a lot of them will still grow regardless. Most plants sold at places like petsmart do not require CO2 injection and will thrive quite readily if planted on good substrate and some w/o good substrate
