How Do You Know If Baby Is Not Growing?
I've heard that some people can go to their 12week scan and find that their baby stopped growing at 8 weeks, and they didn't know anything about it. I don't know what this is called or how rare it is, but are there no signs whatsoever?
I had a scan yesterday and they couldn't find anything at all on the scan, only a thickened uterus which shows pregnancy signs. They did another pregnancy test, and it was a very feint line....my first test which I'd done 5 days earlier was also feint, but surely it would be darker by now because of all the hormones??
The reasons they gave was that their machine doesn't pick anything under 5weeks up, so she thinks I'm very early, only about 3 weeks, which is why the test had a feint line too.
Do you believe this is likely to be true? As I'm now convinced that the baby isn't growing properly, which is why the hormones aren't developing as they should. By my own dates I'm 4+3.
I don't know what 4+3 means, but that's what happened to me at my first ultrasound. I had to have one early because of a previous ectopic pregnancy. My home pregnancy tests were very faint too, and the first scan all they could see was a thickening of the uterus because I was so early like 4wks I think??? That just sounds like you went in too soon, be patient I'm sure everything's fine!! Why didn't they give you a blood test? Those are ALOT more accurate than urine tests, ask for one of those.
