Plus Growing

what can I do about a growing group of homeless cats living by my apartment dumpster?
I have been living in an apartment complex in the state of Georgia for 3 yrs during that time no one including the management have done anything about a growing group of homless cats living by the dumpster area. The cats have started hanging out in front of my door begging for food, this one sweet little kitty broke my heart so I gave in,I know i shouldnt have encouraged her but now she is coming daily and her friends started to follow her,now each day when I open my door they run right in! I thought there were some sort of laws regarding this sort of thing.Should I report this,if so to who?One cat seems crazy and is always fighting with the other cats, hissing at me and charges when i go outside, these cats are not neutered so they keep making more plus they are not vacinated.I like animals and cats, but this doesnt seem sanitary or right,i hate when they run in my apartment and I have to shue them out especially cuz im allergic to cats and have immune probs..ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Check with local shelters, Humane Society or ASPCA. Some of them have trap-neuter-release programs where vets will neuter feral cats for a large discount. Some shelters will lend you traps so you can trap the cats and then bring them in - you just have to make sure to check the traps at least once a day and not leave the animals in them. You can get fined for animal cruelty if you do that. If the cats are not totally feral but can be around humans some of them may be able to be re-homed.

Grow Roses to Give as Gifts
Roses are beautiful, and not surprisingly, they are one of the most popular flowers to give as a present. Of course, they also cost quite a bit to purchase in a bouquet, so how can you save money on the cost?
The best solution is to simply grow your own. So how do you do that?
1. Prune the roses you have in winter or early spring, once the rose shows signs of new growth.
2. Cut out the dead and damaged branches, then cut all but four or five main stems.
3. Cut the stems by over a third. You should make these cuts right above an outward-facing bud, which is the red bulb on the outside of the rosebush. This will cause the bulb to grow up and out.
4. You should start using fertilizer on your roses as soon as the growing season begins. Use a liquid fertilizer for three to four weeks during the season.
5. Water needs to be given to roses constantly, as they require much of it during the growing season. You should give them about one inch of water each week.
6. You should buy some mulch and lay down about one to two inches of it for the roses. Try a mix of wood chips, pine needles, grass clippings or other biodegradable materials.
7. Once the roses are spent, trim them to allow the bush to produce more. Most will bloom in June, while others may take a little while longer.
8. Roses can become infested with insects or diseased, so you need to make sure you spray them. If a part does become diseased, make sure to trim the affected part and take it to a professional who can tell you what to do to keep the rose from dying.
9. Do not fertilize your roses past early autumn. If you do so, it could produce roses that will get hurt by the cold in the wintertime.
10. In the winter, make sure to put soil over the base of the roses. Depending on the region you live in and how cold it gets, it should be a few inches to a foot in height. About two weeks after that, wrap the entire plant in a burlap bag.
By growing your own roses, you don't have to worry about buying them every year and plus you will get the satisfaction of having grown them specially by yourself.
