Soldier Chefs: What did you do to make your ration packs more palatable?
Back in the day, we would pack fresh ginger, a few onions, chili flakes and italian mixed herbs. You can make vomit taste good with these things.
Well, I had the very first MRE's which were so bad all we attempted to do was cover up the taste. We loaded the newest member of each squad with a BIG bottle of Tobasco Sauce, packed lots of Raman noodles and threw away the Ham and Chicken loafs as they were beyond salvageable.
