Hydroponics Airline

How does Lucky Bamboo respond to hydroponics?
I have a few Lucky Bamboo plants in a container, rooted, in water only. I add diluted liquid plant food every once in awhile.
Anyway, instead of changing the water monthly, would it suffice for me to just leave an airpump running with an airstone in the water? I do this for most of my other plants, and figure I can split an airline out to the Lucky Bamboo as well.
Has anyone tried it? I'm sure it'd work, but just wondering if it's worth it.
The splitter, tubing and airstone would be very inexpensive. I'd go for it as long as your pump is strong enough for the extra outlet.
