Hydroponics Highlands
"Hydroponics" with soil?
I've been to Cameron Highlands recently and went to a "hydroponic" farm. However the plants were placed in a porous plastic container with what seems to be soil inside. What's up with that?
There's an image here. It wasn't uploaded by me but I saw the exact same thing. Apparently the photographer thought it was a hydroponic farm too.

Those plants could be growing in peat moss which is not considered soil. (peat moss is incapable of holding nutrients, so plants must be almost constantly fed)
