Master Quart
How many quarts of oil would a '92 Dodge Shadow take?
I have a 4 cylinder, 2.2 liter dodge shadow. Does it only take 4 quarts of oil? My dad was a master mechanic for about 30 years and thats what the said it would take but it makes kinda like a winding sound when I started it. I put Transmission fluid in it last night but when I started it it began to smoke. I didn't let it have a chance to run. Would transmission fluid do that? Will it be okay is the major thing. I just need to know if I should let it run for a while to get the new fresh oil that I put in it last night(I did drain the old oil and tranmission fluid). So if anyone could help that would be great
Yes, I checked the dipstick. The oil level is fine and all the transmission fluid is out of the car from what I know
a '92 shadow ought to be good for about a quart a week, depending in mileage....;-)
Question: after adding oil, did you not check the dipstick?

Master Cleanse / Lemonade Diet Question?
This is my third try at the Master Cleanse and I really want to be succesful this time but the hardest part for me is the Salt Water Flush.
I would like to know how you guys get the 1 quart of salt mixed with 1 tsp of water down first thing in the morning.
I've tried everything I can think of but I just can't seem to do it. The salt becomes a baseball sized sandy foul tasting rock whose taste takes days to scrub out of my mouth.
are you sure you're using the right kind of salt? it doesn't sound right at all that it would become a 'rock'. make sure you're using sea salt, not table salt.
what i always do (even without this cleanse i still do a salt water flush now and then) is to mix the salt in with warm water. i personally prefer drinking warm water and so it goes down easily when i do. if you don't like warm water try mixing the salt with a small amount of boiling water and then adding the rest of the water once it's dissolved.
but really, i think it's the salt you're using. that shouldn't be happening.
