If your belly was measuring large during your last trimester did your baby end up large?
I am 37 weeks and measuring 39. I gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks and im afraid that the baby will be large.
If you measured large how big was your baby?
when i was 38 weeks pregnant i was measuring 42 with my son, he only weighed 7lbs 12oz. (c section)
With my daughter i measured right with my weeks through the whole pregnancy and she weighed 9lbs 1oz(vaginal).
the baby's position the position of the placenta, and the amount of fluid you have will all make your measurements be off. If your really concerned have the doctor do an ultrasound to measure babies size but remember an ultrasound can be off by a pound or more

Would measuring your inseam with a tape measure give wrong measurements?
I'm 14, 5'5, and according to my dad's tape measure [the kind used for building and such] my inseam is 29''. That sounds kind of off, so would measuring my inseam with one of those flimsy tape measures give me a different, more accurate measurment?
It might a little easier to use a flexible tape measure, but you should be able to use your dad's and still get an accurate measurement. Just make sure the the seam is straight when you're measuring. There's a good page on how to do the measuring below. I'd also recommend SearchByInseam.com when you're ready to find new pants - they organize everything by inseam length, so it's great for those of us who aren't a standard 32" inseam length.
