Regulator Dual What is wrong with my 95 Taurus? My car runs fine in park, but when put in gear the engine shakes, what's up?
1995 V6 3.0 Dual Overhead Cam.
Replaced:
Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs
Plug Wires
Throttle Position Sensor
Sprayed entire engine bay with throttle body cleaner to check for vacuum leaks.
I'm running out of ideas. Could it be my fuel pressure regulator?
Also, my EGR valve's diaphragm stays open for 20 seconds or so, so I don't think it is that.
Please help!
I have now changed the PCV valve and the Air Idle Control valve was thoroughly cleaned. It's more of a fuel flow problem than a engine/transmission mount. It sort of sputters, and almost sounds like it is going to die. Strangest thing.
Check your engine and trans mounts and your tie rod ends. Also, remove and thoroughly clean your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE and PCV valve. To get to the PCV, you will have to remove the throttle cover and bracket, and follow the rubber hose down into it. It can be rotated 180 degrees to remove and clean it. Clean the place where the PCV installs, as well. SInce this engine is all aluminum alloy, you would be foolish NOT to be using Mobil One 0W-30. All regular dino oils will corrupt and form sludge and varnish in vapor lines and on the inside of the intake manifold causing loss of MPG's and engine life. Good luck!!!
ppl are saying my psu is not good. what is a good recommendation?

Get an Antec Power Supply. Considered one of the best. Probably need 650W.
