Can I use Spinach instead of Arugula?
for Thanksgiving, I was planning on making a Pomegranate Arugula salad, but Ive been to about 5 different stores, and I can't find Arugula anywhere...
I was wondering if I could use Fresh Spinach in place of the Arugula? I know it's not going to have the same...peppery flavor...
The salad has a pomegranate vinegrette with red wine vinegar, then with toasted walnuts, pomegranate seeds, apple, and bacon...will spinach taste...okay with all of that?
and if so...is there anything I can add to make it closer to Arugula?
Baby spinach would be fine and a bit of watercress or escarole for the peppery taste and your good to go.
