Seed Kit Snow

How do I assure my bonsai's safety?
I just got a bunch of black pine seeds in the mail along with the right dirt, pot, draining pebbles. I only got a meager collection of instructions. I have looked around and pieced together that it will take awhile for my seeds to sprout. Additionally, the type of seed I bought luckily is harder to screw up than others, but I still am not sure about growing seasons and what I should do in my plant's early years.
So, I am in Pennsylvania and it's pretty hot right now. In the winter, obviously, it gets cold as well - what with snow and frost. Should I leave my plant out for the summer and fall and take it in for the winter or leave it outside until the spring?
Right now my seeds are planted in accordance with the instructions they came with (pebbles, dirt, seeds, a bit more dirt). They are in a mini-greenhouse thing that the kit came with. So some sagely advice?
This specialist website should be of help to you with more info on that.
