Single End
Do those raised by single fathers end up not compassionate and loving?
I'm 17 and I have a 15 year old brother. Our mom died in 1993, and our dad never remarried.
A few people have said to me that because I had no mother, I wont end up as well as people who have both parents, or single mothers, as opposed to single fathers. I don't think this is true, as I think my dad's been loving, but would like to hear, what do you think?

People are very quick to tell you everything about your life based on one small detail. You know your father, you know your family- if you feel it's loving, then it is. My future stepson's birth mother pays little to no attention to him (never calls) and when he is at her house for the summer, he receives little to no parenting and last summer he returned to our place with a no-rules, bratty attitude that took us a good month to reverse. My fiance is extremely loving, much more loving than the kid's mother. Situations vary. I think that for the most part people do what they feel should be done, and everyone is different.

If the Vatican gave away all its wealth, could it single-handedly end poverty today?
Or shouldn't it at least try? No religion needs its own country with hordes of jewels and bank accounts. Let's go Catholics; give it ALL AWAY.
Just the the population of Ethiopia alone is about 73,000,000; not all of which are starving. Those that are starving come from the lowest class, and this class is the one producing the most babies. Today there are about 12,000,000 people in Ethiopia that are either starving or in jeopardy of starving, or about 16%. A 100 or so years ago, they would have just starved to death and the famine thar is causing the starvation would have been over or greatly diminished.
Don’t you think, since it would require over 3000 tons of rice a day just to feed the starving in Ethiopia, it would be best just to let them starve?
It is best for the world to let nature take care of problems like this.
Many people on this planet are going to die from lack of food as well as other problems. It is best not to meddle in things that have been going on for thousands of years just so you can feel better about your own perceived guilt. The problem will work it self out.
The Vatican non America has sufficient resources to elimate poverty. There will always be poverty just as there will always be wealth.
