Upgrading my 2000 Civic LX?
Now I know this car isn't a powerful racing machine but it'd be nice to have it go a little faster. It is an automatic so Im not gonna turbo it or anything so don't say turbo because that is a useless answer.
So Far...
Nology Wires
Nology Silver Spark Plugs
AEM Short Ram Intake
Sun Hypervoltage System (Saw alot of gain)
Sun Hyperground Wire
Front Strut Bar
Now since this isnt like a race car or anything I wanna stay carb legal unless the specific part is easy to swap back. For example I was intrested in Headers but cant seem to find any for my car and I also heard DC sports are Carb Legal.
I would look into exhaust next for the biggest gains. You really can't find a header for a '00 Civic?

Laptop screen dims when plugged in, problem began last month?
The screen on my Dell Inspiron 1520 is at maximum brightness when on battery, but the minute I plug it in it goes dim. When I hit Fn+up to brighten it, the little bar that pops up increases like it's getting brighter, and the sun icon puts on his sunglasses like it's bright, but the screen doesn't get brighter. However, I can make it go slightly dimmer still. If I wait for the popup to go away then try Fn+up again, it's back at the dim side and I increase the bar to maximum again (repeat ad nauseum), but nothing happens. I've tried going into power manager and changing settings and power plans, but nothing works.
This all started right around the time I was at the Dell website trying to download updated drivers for my graphics card. I may have downloaded and installed something else by accident, but I don't know what it was and now it's too late to do a system restore to try to fix it.
Any help would be deeply appreciated. This has been driving me crazy for a month.
Interesting problem.
There is usually a way to Roll Back Driver in the display settings. With XP you can right click on your desktop, click Properties, choose the Settings tab, then the Advanced button, then the Adapter tab, then click the Properties button, then select the Driver tab, then click Roll Back Driver button (isn't this fun?) and see what that does. At least that's the way I can get to mine. Just dig deeper into every button and tab you can find, it's usually in there somewhere.
Best of luck.
