Can someone tell me how the CVS extra care card and bucks rewards system works?
I am interested in signing up for the CVS card that you use to earn CVS bucks when you make purchases. Does anyone use this regularly? And how do you earn bucks? Do you use the bucks like cash towards new purchases? Is it worth it to even sign up? Anyone gotten any good deals lately? Thanks!
Thanks for answering! Someone said the CVS bucks are printed on the receipt, how do you know how many bucks you will get? Is it random, or is it like a rebate program, where something will cost $3, and then you will get $1 CVS bucks?
It is definitely worth it to shop at CVS, I shop weekly. You can save SO much money. The CVS weekly ads and monthly ads tell you what purchases you make earn you ECB (extra care bucks). ECBs are used just like cash towards new purchases. I get good deals every week. Here are some scenarios of past deals:
Purchase $15 of Bayer Asprin and earn $5 ECB. So, this first purchase will cost you $15 oop (out of pocket), minus any coupons you have to use.
Purchase Crest Whitestrips for $14.99 and earn $5 ECB. Use a $5 off coupon, your $5 ECB from the Bayer Asprin deal and you'll only pay $4.99 OOP and you'll earn $5 ECB to use towards your next purchase.
Purchase $20 of Johnson and Johnson products and earn $10 ECB. Use your $5 ECB from the Crest deal and various coupons and you'll "make" $5 ECB because you get $10 ECB back and you used $5 ECB.
You'll want to roll your ECB like I just showed you above because that is how you get the best deals. When you use your ECB you always want to get that amount of ECB back or more ECB back. And you can earn multiple ECB for different deals.
I know how I explained it is very confusing, so I'm attaching links to sites that I used when I learned to CVS, so hopefully they'll help you too. The websites list what deals are going on that week that earn ECBs and what coupons to combine with the deals to save you the most money. You can PM for any more questions.
