Light First
Did the universe expand faster than the speed of light in the first few seconds?
I was watching a Discovery Channel show about the first few seconds after the Big Bang. Dr Michio Kaku said that the universe was many thousand light years across within the first second. Doesn't this contradict the fact that nothing is faster than the speed of light?
The expansion of the universe is not a speed at all; it is a percentage per time. All cosmological distances increase by the same fraction every second. This means that regardless of how fast it is expanding, some objects in the universe will be receding at greater than c.
The restriction to c is a Special Relativistic restriction; it does not apply to distant bodies in General Relativity. The distant objects are not really moving at the speed of light; it is the intervening space that is stretching.

When dyeing your hair 2 different colours, do you use the dark or light dye first?
I have been dyeing my hair unnatural colours for years, yet I have never really done anything two-toned. My hair is currently dark green, and I will be re-bleaching my roots and another chunk. I want to dye the bleached chunk bright yellow, but I don't know which dye to use first...If I use the dark first and rinse it out, I could probably just shampoo it out of the bleached chunk if I need to. Does anyone have any experience with this?

What kind of turbo in general( not brand)i should put on a 1999 mustang gt with a saleen spcharger and intcler
it has JE Pistons, Competition cam/spring kit,ARP head stud kit,Felpro head set, Melling oil pump, Propower valves, Eagle connecting rods, Block has been bored and honed, squared and decked. as well as balanced, polished crankshaft, as well as a saleen supercharger and intercooler. Im 16 and bought this mustang and would like to make it a high performance machine, also does anyone have any suggestions on good performance aftermarket parts?
i dont suggest putting a turbo on a car that already has a supercharger. it isnt practical to put two methods of forced induction on a car.
that car has just about as much as you can do to a 99 mustang (i have a mustang similar to yours btw)
if yo want to squeeze out a little more power i suggest a smaller pulley on the supercharger (more boost), and water/methanol injection.
you can get 100more hp with the water/methanol and it doesnt adversly affect your engine, its actually good for it.
water/methanol injection works very well with supercharged engines.

How many more people will participate in Earth Day than participated in the Tea Parties?
No partisanship. Just want a fair answer.
Great question. According to wikipedia [1], "Earth Day is now observed each year on April 22 by more than 500 million people and national governments in 175 countries." There is no citation for that number and no description of what it means to "observe" the day. I am guessing that many of the observants are captive student required to participate with their schools.
Without a doubt, supporters of Earth Day want to inflate the number of participants in order to increase the perceived legitimacy of the observance. I don't doubt that Tea Party supporters might do the same if they could. I was unable to find a citation for the number of Tea Party participants, but I have heard anecdotally that about 2 million people showed up.
Now, comparing the 500 million number to 2 million may not be fair. The number of Earth Day participants is counted worldwide while the Tea Parties, as far as I know, were restricted to the U.S. Also, there is uncertainty about what it means to "observe" Earth Day while it is pretty easy to determine whether someone attended a Tea Party protest.
In my opinion, after weighing all of the uncertainty, I think that it is still safe to say that the Earth Day movement has far more support than do the Tea Parties.

what on earth does one put in the wee sandwiches when one is having the vicar round for afternoon tea?
cress or something? any ideas for an appropriate filling. should they be open sandwiches buns or bread. Do you know many vicars ? all one query please hurry as time is flying
Ham sandwiches always go down well with the vicar, between two slices of thin sliced white bread. Just in case you have a vegetarian vicar then make it cheese sandwiches but grate the cheese first, again on bread the same as the ham sandwich.
If you have any scones they are partial to those as well, home baked would be nice, but if not then the from the bakers shop (or supermarket). Serve the tea in cups and saucers and not mugs and provide napkins, does not matter if they are paper ones.

is this the newest harvest moon game? wats it about? pros and cons of this game? in ur opinion is it the best? im looking for a harvest moon game with good graphics, addictivness, and a game thats fun even after ur married!
Harvest Moon Sunshine Islands (DS) and Harvest Moon Animal Parade (Wii) is the newest HM game for now. AP is simply better than SI, imo (if you have wii). You won't be bored after you get married in AP because you can have 2 kids, and they grow up, and so on.
And SI is great also, the graphic is gorgeous for ds, and addictive and fun also.
So it's up to you which one you'll buy. Just buy both! :b
