Gimme a Green Cell Phone
No, I'm not talking about LG's green-hued Mint Chocolate phone (although, if I were in the market for a new Chocolate, the green Mint would be my preference). What I'm actually referring to is a new type of technology that the wireless industry is testing out that will use alternate energy to power cell phones. Cell companies have "heard the call" of millions ofgreen energy advocates and, in response, have begun working on ways to change the methods they have had in place for years.
There is a variety of ways that the cellular industry can utilize in place of their current mode of providing this convenience to its users. They are realizing that cell phone towers may have the ability to be powered by wind turbines. For those who don't know, turbines are any of various machines in which the kinetic energy of a moving fluid, such as water, steam, or gas, is converted to rotary motion.
These same cell towers could also be operated through the use of solar panels, making use of the energy of the sun to power up the cell phones. Antennas could also receive their back up energy from hydrogen fuel cells and computer equipment could be cooled through geothermal methods.
The wireless industry has come to realize, whether through their own conscience or through the voices of millions who care about the earth's current deterioration and eventual demise, all of the negative effects that its current methodology has had on environmental factors, and they seem to have a desire to alter their techniques in order to do their part to improve the condition of our world. However, my skepticism prevails, and it almost seems as if their concerns still reside more so in what impact this alteration with have financially. In other words, if this will save them money, they are more interested in attempting it.
The ideas that they have for this change over are still in the experimental phase, meaning it could take many years for this critical plan to be brought to fruition. To be fair, it should be noted that Sprint Nextel has been testing alternate energy sources for their cellular power since 2004, already using hydrogen fuel cells at 65,000 of its sites. In addition to this, Sprint has already been making use of many of the above mentioned alternates. T-Mobile is also attempting the application of some alternatives. T-Mobile's director of national operations planning mentioned tax incentives that are given to companies from states when using alternate energy resources.
The idea of "green" wireless technology is one step closer to attaining a more livable earth. Not only is there a certain amount of radiation that is emitted from the cell phone antenna, the electricity being used to operate cell phone towers is immense. Because the electricity is generated in the current, traditional ways, it wreaks havoc on Mother Earth. These new ideas that are being generated with some cellular companies (and I'm sure all will follow suit at some point) are crucial to the necessary end result of using alternative energy wherever is humanly possible.

Which end of a teardrop would be more hydro dynamic to flow through water?
Would the pointy end move through water faster or the rounded end?
depends on the speed at low speed the rounded end pushes the water around it and the water closes in behind and pushes it forward. Sailboats have what they call the hull speed. It uses this phenomena. it is difficult to exceed this speed.
At higher speeds where the water will not close in fast enough, the pointed end may be the best. However if this is true, how come ships have a bulb nose below the water.

Hydro-cyclone - Centrifugal Filters [3 out of 5]
Hydrocyclones also known as "sand separators", centrifugal filters are mainly for the removal of particles such as sand, and other solids from the irrigation water. They are ideal for situations where a pile of sand, is present in water.
How it works? Dirty water enters the filter where swirl around the inside of a cylinder. The centrifugal force causes the sand particles to move towards the outer edge of the bottle, which slide slowly down the side of a reservoir below. Hydro-cyclone centrifugal filters are reasonably cheap, very simple and very effective to remove the sand from the water.
Since many wells pump water with sand, It is not uncommon for a small amount of sand to pass through a centrifugal filter. In the case of drip irrigation you should always add a Backup disc filter when using a centrifugal filter(sand separator) as a safety precaution. A sand separator filter (hydro-cyclone) is used in combination with a filter media after it has an excellent combination. The hydro-cyclone removes the sand filter media and removes the material organic. It should be noted that selection of hydro-cyclone sand separator filter must be closely combined the Flow rate [m3/h or gph] of the system or the filter will not work properly. Always check with the vendor working flow-rate/pressure head loss curve guidelines on the design of a hydro-cyclone filtration system for your irrigation systems, remember, a minimum pressure head-loss is necessary to achieve effective sand separation.

Solution to level 61 of FIll The Pot for iphone?
I can't get past level 61!! Anyone know the solution? It's an iPhone app called All-in-1 Logic Box. It has several different logic puzzles. One is called Fill The Pot (aka Liquid Measure before the update). Please help me 
Hey, hope I explain it well:
Put one 3 on top of the single brick at bottom right hand side.
Put the two 6 tanks side by side on top of the higher bricks to the left hand side.
Put the last 3 tank on top of the 6 tanks so that it covers on square of left hand tank and two of the right hand one.
Build the pipe work from the 1 all the way to the left hand 6 tank.

Have you ever seen those black & white education movies they showed in schools about marijuana aka "The Pot"?
I remeber watching one called "Reefer Madness" they were mad funny.
I never saw "The Pot" but i've seen Reefer Madness... it plays on IFC occasionally. I died laughing when the dude turned into a psycho! That movie was hilarious. Every time i see watch that movie i light up so i can watch it high... its even funnier because its ironic. God Bless Propaganda!!! it makes reality seem so much better.
