You've definitely confused magnetism for gravity.
One misconception is that earth and the other planets are falling towards the sun but because of our distance we fall continuously around it. This is NOT the case.
In truth the Earth, earth as well as the other planets maintain a constant velocity sideways (in a straight line parallel) to the Sun's equator (But away from the Sun). For every centimeter (cm) that the earth moves away from the Sun, the Sun's gravity pulls it a cm back in a sort of saw tooth fashion (||||||||||||) and as a result smooths the straight line into an elliptical path around the Sun.
As others have said, "the rock tide to a string whirling about your head" is the simplest analogy to the Sun / Earth / Gravity relationship. The rock wants to fly away from you but the string (representing gravity) tugs it back into place. Again For every centimeter (cm) that the rock tries moves sideways (away from your head), the string pulls it a cm back in a sort of saw tooth fashion (||||||||||||) and, as a result, the string smooths the straight line into and elliptical path around your head.

I will have 4- 5ftx5ft roof panels on the greenhouse roof and im making the 2 on the sides ventalation windows that will lift up with a pulley system.
Should i have the roof vents facing the sun or on the shady side?
I thought maybe the sun side because it would vent the heat as it came in, but the shady side might let cooler air in through the back?
better to know which way the wind blows.... have the wind blow from the not vented side, across the vents and then on past them... not into the vents, but up and over the lifted portion.... that creates a 'draft' that will help pull out the heated air.....

In an air-condition, what do the symbols sun / snow stand for?
When you put it on the mode "sun", it warms or it cools the air? (I have a Mitsubishi one)
Normally symbols illustrate what the buttons do. In this case, the sun and snowflake represent the environment in which the button may be used, not the effect the button will have. Effect would be a lightbulb and an ice cube, for example. If it is snowing or cold, use the snowflake button. Get the idea? I could be wrong, because sometimes Japanese illustrations can mean different things, so test it out yourself.

4)A golf ball rolls off a horizontal cliff with an initial speed of 13.9 m/s. The ball falls a vertical distance of 13.5 m into a lake below.
(a) How much time does the ball spend in the air?
(b) What is the speed v of the ball just before it strikes the water?

uv lighting for bearded dragon?
i can't decide which type of uv light to use for my bearded dragon. i am trying to decide between getting the repti sun compact fluroescent bulb, the self ballasted mercury vapor bulb, and just the zoo med basking bulbs. which is the best kind to use? i have heard good and bad reviews about all of them so i want to know which is best and why, and im not quite sure if i will have enough to be able to buy the mercury vapor bulb, so which is second best if the mercury bulb is best?
oh and i was also thinking of getting the flurescent tube type light fixtures for the uv.
just get one 100watt basking bulb for one side with a lamp for the heat. and one tube fixture for a uvb tube. i dunno what the vapour bulbs are. i live in new brunswick canada and we have exo terra brand stuff here. 10.0 uvb for beardies. they love basking all day so they need a good uvb. the coil uvb bulbs can give them eye problems so the tubes are best
