will the 17x8 wheels fit the stock tires on a 2002 mustang v6? The original wheels are 16x8 or sumthin..?
I want to get some 17x8 rims for my 2002 mustang v6, but i really dont want to have to buy new tires just for the new wheels, i just want to use my stock tires to fit the 17x8 rims?? Will that work??
the stock tire size is 225/55-16. I want to put the 17x8 wheels on these tires. Because it is way to expenseve to buy new tires along with the wheels. So i just want to put the new wheels on the stock tires.....can i do that??
No! Tires are made to fit a specific diameter wheel, it even says so on the sidewall. No tire shop will even attempt it.
You can add all of the extra details you want it's not going to change the fact that it can't be done! What you are trying is a good way to get someone seriously injured or killed when the tire flies apart. Either buy 16s or suck it up and buy the tires, too!!

There's also a block heater, meaning you can plug the engine into an outlet to keep the block warm.
I also still have the original Z28 wheels, with about 60-70% tread left on goodyear eagle gt tires. Would think about selling it for less w/ the stock wheels on instead.
Yes that's a good deal for all the extra Mods that has been done to it.
